Petition, 18 Nov. 1802, of for financial assistance by army veteran James Nipper "To the Honourable house of Assembly Siting at Columbia," citing his Revolutionary War record, including capture at Savannah, Ga., escape and injury, and later service with [Thomas] Sumter and [Richard] Winn and requesting the Assembly "to consider him as the object of their relief"; and statement, 20 Nov. 1802, of Elijah Jones.
